“Backbone of Society”

Ongoing Project, 2014 - Present

Shot on Mamiya RB67 with Fuji FP-3000B instant film.

Women are the backbones of society.

This has been accepted as a true statement, whilst societal norms and pressures simultaneously evaluate and judge women on their color, hair, features, style of dress, everything to do with their fronts.

This is a collection of Polaroids of women’s backs. Bare, exalted, and free.
